Another place we stopped in northern Portugal was Braga, a small town known for its churches and for this otherworldly-looking monastery:
As we climbed the steps to the top of the monastery we got to enjoy the very frightening fountains along the way:
These sweet little cherubs with the leaky heart were particularly disturbing:
When we reached the park at the top of the monastery we were rewarded with the most autumnal scene ever:
A stop in a nearby national park made for a really beautiful, if odd, day.
